  • Avoid harassment: Treat all members with respect and avoid any form of harassment, including but not limited to: bullying, discrimination, threats, or hate speech.

  • Be mindful of language: Use appropriate language and avoid profanity or offensive terms.

  • Respect intellectual property: Do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, or patents.

  • Maintain privacy: Respect the privacy of other members and avoid sharing their personal information without their consent.


Community Standards
  • Follow guidelines: Adhere to all FERMATA guidelines and policies.

  • Report violations: If you witness any violations of these guidelines, please report them to the FERMATA team.

  • Take responsibility: Be accountable for your actions and avoid engaging in behavior that could harm the community.


Community Feedback & Collaboration


FERMATA encourages members to provide feedback and critiques on one another's work. You agree that providing feedback, suggestions, or chord changes to another member does not grant you any ownership or copyright interest in that member's work unless a separate written agreement is signed by both parties. Any collaborations formed through the platform are strictly between the individual members.



Content Creation
  • Original work: Ensure that the content you upload is your original work or that you have the necessary rights to share it.

  • Quality standards: Strive to create high-quality content that contributes positively to the community.

  • Avoid inappropriate content: Refrain from uploading content that is harmful, offensive, or illegal.



AI-Generated Content & Transparency


FERMATA is a community built on human creativity. While we recognize that AI can be a tool for the modern composer, we prioritize human-led authorship.

  1. Disclosure: Users must clearly disclose if any musical work uploaded to the platform was generated, in whole or in part, using generative AI tools.

  2. Authorship: Works that are entirely generated by AI without significant human creative input are [permitted/not permitted] for display on FERMATA.

  3. Indemnity: Users are responsible for ensuring that any AI tools used in their compositions do not infringe on the rights of third parties. FERMATA assumes no liability for copyright disputes arising from AI-generated content.


Consequences of Violations
  • Warnings: Repeated violations of this policy may result in warnings or temporary suspensions.

  • Termination: Severe violations may lead to the termination of your account.


By joining FERMATA, you agree to abide by this Responsibility Policy. We reserve the right to take appropriate action against any member who violates these guidelines.
